The top comic-con trailers from 2018

Comic-con might have come and gone for another year, but that doesn’t mean we have to forget all the fantastic memories that have passed us by, does it? Of course not! Instead, we can now take a look back at some of the top comic-con trailers worth getting excited about as we wait for all these incredible releases to become a reality.

The Walking Dead

Any fans of The Walking Dead will be pleased to hear that the ninth season is officially on the way. Unfortunately, it will be the last time we will get to see Andrew Lincoln take on the role of Rick Grimes, but with so many possibilities for his exit, how will this much-loved character walk from the show? Comic-con featured the first full trailer for the series, and we can’t wait to see what these zombie survivalists will bring to the table this time. Feel. The. Hype. We still have a little while to wait as the series is set to hit our screens in October 2018, but we’re sure it will be worth it.

Aquaman

Jason Momoa as the next latest superhero? Yes, please! This long-haired beast is set to hit our screens in December 2018 where we will get to see the aftermath of the Justice League events. It’s time for Aquaman to defend his underwater kingdom before it’s too late, but can he keep himself and his people safe? We’re pretty sure those muscles have a thing or two to say. The trailer set the room on fire as fans got to see a glimpse at the next latest installment in this superhero takeover.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

Any film in the Harry Potter franchise is worthy of a place on our list in our opinion. So here we have it: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The movie not only follows the unfolding of a major wizarding war brewing on the horizon, but it also tells the tale of young Albus Dumbledore and how he handles his relationship with Gellert Grindelwald. However, things aren’t easy when Grindelwald wants to take back the world from the muggles. There is plenty to cover in this movie, but we’re sure with the brainwork of J.K. Rowling; we will all be in for a treat.

Disenchantment

What happens when the creator of Futurama and the Simpsons teams up with Netflix? We get Disenchantment, of course. The show is set to follow the story of Princess Bean as she travels across the world. Only, she isn’t alone. No, this royal is also accompanied by her personal demon and Elfo, her elf. The series has already had plenty of praise already, even with the small snippet we have got to see so far. Don’t worry though; there’s not long to wait until the release of the show as Disenchantment is set to hit our screens in August 2018.

Shazam!

DC is fighting back in the superhero world, and about to break out of the dark movie scene we have seen over the last few years with the release of Shazam! The film follows the life of Bill Bastion, a foster child who bumps into a wizard – aptly named Shazam – who grants him the power to turn into a superhero whenever he utters his name. There are plenty of cute moments as we get to see how a child deals with the real adult world in his quest to save us all. We can’t wait to see the full piece set to be released in April 2019!

Comic-con, you were kind to us with for the four days you were here, but how could you leave us so soon? Thankfully, these trailers will leave us with plenty to get excited about until your return next year, Farewell – for now.
